Trieste workshop

Welcome to the webpage of the IFPU Focus Week: “Dynamical instabilities in quantum field theory in curved spacetime: lessons drawn from analogue gravity”

About the workshop

The workshop will take place at IFPU in Trieste, Italy, from Monday 22nd of September to Friday 26th of September 2025.

This will be a workshop on analogue gravity/cosmology. In the traditional style of IFPU workshops, the number of participants will be small so as to favour in depth conversations. In the beginning of the week, experimentalists will present their work. In the middle of the week, theorists will give “tutorial” talks on theoretical concepts (open questions, personal take on a topic, basic definitions, etc.) that are relevant to the experiments and which could be explored therein.

Accommodation

Invited participants will be hosted at Guesthouse Adriatico, where the front desk is open 24/7.
